The West University Examiner has an article on an important endorsement for Chris Bell:
West U’s Republican mayor endorses Democrat Bell
Mayor Bob Kelly has endorsed Democrat Chris Bell to fill the state Senate seat vacated by former West University Place resident Kyle Janek.
In an e-mail addressed to “Dear Friend of Chris Bell,” Kelly, a Republican, said, “party affiliation does not matter. I have watched Chris’s career over the years and know that we can trust him to do the right thing.”
Kelly commends Bell as a former Houston City Councilman, who stood up to “insider deals” and helped pass “landmark ethics reform.”
