We have a date!

The runoff election for Senate District 17 will be held on Dec. 16, according to an announcement from Gov. Rick Perry's office.
The early voting period will be from Dec. 8 through Dec. 12.

Chris Bell is running in the special election to fill the seat that was vacated by Sen. Kyle Janek. The term expires in January 2011.
Chris Bell got 38.4% of the vote on Election Day, Nov. 4, compared to 26% for the second-place candidate.
